The Global Study on Indigenous Peoples’ Climate Contributions reveals the critical role Indigenous knowledge systems play in addressing climate change across all seven socio-cultural regions. Drawing on comprehensive case studies, focus group discussions, and global consultations, the study highlights how Indigenous Peoples contribute to climate ambition, mitigation, adaptation, and access to climate finance while adhering to principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC).
This event will present key findings from the advanced study report, showcasing tangible examples of Indigenous-led climate solutions and innovations.
