Explores how strategic use of domestic and international insurance solutions can enhance the financial viability of climate projects. Focusing on Brazil’s Investment Platform, the session will identify key risk barriers—credit, policy, physical, and technological—and showcase how existing risk transfer products can be adapted to strengthen project pipelines. By fostering early collaboration between project developers, investors, banks, and the insurance sector, this approach could raise project bankability and increase climate finance flows by up to 40%. The outcomes aim to position Brazil’s Investment Platform as a best-in-class model for country platforms worldwide, accelerating finance mobilisation to deliver the Paris Agreement and COP30 goals.
