Progressing global adaptation and resilience action: Contribute to the Sharm El-Shiekh Adaptation Agenda annual implementation report

We are excited to announce the first annual implementation progress report for the Sharm El-Sheikh Adaptation Agenda (SAA) will be launched at COP28 with sponsorship of the COP27 Presidency, Sharm Adaptation Agenda (SAA) is an initiative launched in 2022 to address critical gaps in urgently needed Adaptation and Resilience (A&R) action and finance. To make this report as comprehensive and actionable as possible, we need your input.

We invite you to participate in the Sharm Adaptation Agenda Public Survey. Your insights will be instrumental in assessing the progress, challenges we’ve made in the following areas, and call to action to address remanining gaps:

1. Food & Agriculture Systems
2. Water & Natural Systems
3. Human Settlement Systems
4. Coastal & Ocean Systems
5. Infrastructure Systems (including Energy and Transport)
6. Health Systems (currently under development)

As well as the two key cross-cutting enablers:

– Planning & Policy

– Finance

Whether you are part of a state or non-State entity, a member of the Race to Resilience campaign, or the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action, or just someone with a keen interest in climate action, your input is vital. The survey is open to all who wish to contribute and have their voices heard in the global climate action landscape.

We aim to identify and share successful initiatives, highlight gaps and challenges that need to be addressed, and scale up potential actions across regions and levels. Your experiences, insights, and ideas will help guide the world in the urgent task of climate adaptation and resilience.

The deadline for providing input is 30 September 2023.
