A high-level roundtable at New York Climate Week exploring how AI, digital infrastructure, and clean energy demand can unlock investment, strengthen resilience, and accelerate the global transition to integrated, reliable grids.
Advancing Integrated, Reliable, Resilient Energy Systems in the Age of AI & the COP30 Action Agenda will convene utilities, regulators, hyperscalers, financiers, and policymakers at Columbia University to explore how AI and digital technologies can transform global grids. The session will assess how new financing models, 24/7 clean energy demand, and system-level innovation can de-risk and accelerate investment in storage and grid modernisation.
Co-hosted by the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, the Utilities for Net Zero Alliance, and the Climate High-Level Champions for COP29/30, the discussion directly contributes to the COP30 Action Agenda under Axis I. With participation from the COP30 Presidency, Nigar Arpadarai (High-Level Climate Champion for COP29), and key international organisations, this roundtable will generate insights and coordination mechanisms to advance scalable, resilient energy solutions on the road to Belém.
