An invite-only dialogue uniting 20 leaders to accelerate finance for regenerative agriculture, showcase insurance solutions for food resilience, and foster collaboration across the agri-food investment ecosystem
Food systems are remarkable, providing food for our global population and livelihoods for over 4 billion people. Yet they face unprecedented and accelerating challenges. Agri-food systems are responsible for over a third of global greenhouse gas emissions, and also highly vulnerable to climate change.
Food security depends on healthy and functioning natural ecosystems, including healthy lands, soils, water and oceans. There is an urgent need to transition unsustainable production systems to regenerative approaches that strengthen and restore nature, build resilience to climate impacts, and create prosperous and inclusive economies and societies. Investing $250-430 billion per year in regenerative agriculture for a decade could unlock $4.5 trillion in new opportunities and save $5.7 trillion in damages to people and the planet.
In this high level invite-only dialogue we will be convening 20 leaders from farming/developers and their financial advisors, banks, investors, agri-food firms, insurers and key opinion leaders, to discuss and showcase solutions to improve food resilience and accelerate the deployment of finance into regenerative agriculture opportunities and how partnering with the Enabling Insurance Breakthrough can help.
Showcase how existing insurance solutions are helping ensure food system resilience and regenerative agriculture transitions & the opportunity to go further faster.
Initiate a discussion to explore ways to encourage and streamline the adoption of these insurance solutions by farmer/opportunity developers, their financial advisors and their financiers.
Connect farmer/opportunity developers and their financial advisors with potential financiers and insurers & foster a collaborative network within regenerative agriculture.
