Climate Week, Panama | 2025

More information coming soon.

Driving climate action where it matters most

The first Climate Week in 2025 will bring together representatives of Parties and non-party stakeholders in Panama City. They will engage in policy and high-impact dialogues and UNFCCC-mandated meetings to link the intergovernmental process and the discussions that will feed into COP with the real needs of implementation, enabling the consolidation of activities to increase efficiency and impact.

The High-Level Champions will join Non-State actors to amplify their leadership and engage with the Marrakesh Partnership to enhance ambition and accelerate climate action on the road to COP30.

Led by the UNFCCC Secretariat, the Climate Weeks are aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, adopted under the intergovernmental process.

In Panama, the below themes will be central in the discussion:

  1. Mandated Events – UNFCCC Secretariat-led sessions (Mon–Tues), with participation by Party and Constituency nomination.

  2. Implementation Forum – A full-day space for solutions-focused dialogue between Parties and non-Party stakeholders. Includes high-level discussions and technical LABs. Open to the public.

  3. NDC Clinic – Practical support for NDC implementation through peer exchange with governments, UN agencies, and partners. Open to the public.

  4. COP30 Presidency Special Events – Including an “Open Circle for Change” and the “ Future of Global Climate Action”
