The Future Economy Day, organized under the auspices of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2025, is designed to enhance collaboration between public and private investors, with a strong thematic focus on localising transition and innovative finance, de-risking investment flows, and deepening capital markets to foster technological innovation and the transition.
The event is a joint initiative of the Climate Champions, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), DZ BANK, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, and ICC Germany and structured as a multi sector event to convene global policy makers, business leaders and financial market practitioners to explore innovative solutions and policy frameworks across three key themes, addressing interconnected economic areas and underscoring their role in achieving comprehensive sustainability outcomes: Finance, Manufacturing & Industry and International Trade.
Continuing the impactful momentum built from the preceding three editions of the European Regional Finance Forums—Geneva 2022 (pre-COP27), Frankfurt 2023 (pre-COP28), and Hamburg 2024 (pre-COP29), the event will examine structural and regulatory barriers to enabling the sustainable transition, and emphasize on pragmatic climate mitigation and adaptation solutions through interactive panel discussions as well as showcase transformative initiatives emerging from the Western Balkans, Central Asia, and Europe contributing to the regional sustainability and climate resilience efforts, with the aim of building a pipeline of investment-ready transition projects.
