New York, 23 September 2025 — As momentum continues to build toward COP30 in Belém, the Brazilian COP30 Presidency, along with the Climate High-Level Champions, today officially launched the Granary of Solutions platform, showcasing a collection of sustainable solutions demonstrating how the implementation of the Paris Agreement is taking place on the ground and around the world.

As part of the COP30 Action Agenda - the Presidency’s implementation engine to scale solutions in line with the Global Stocktake (GST) and the Paris Agreement goals - the Granary of Solutions aims to provide inspiration by elevating tangible examples of impact. The Granary will source from over 300 initiatives and coalitions launched in the ten years since COP21 in Paris, with the objective to serve as a dynamic reservoir of concrete solutions that are working to accelerate progress for people, the climate and the global economy.

The first phase, launched today, introduces an initial slate of solutions showing results - highlighting achievements through case studies as well as banks of solutions from partners across the climate ecosystem that are providing an array of practical examples of implementation. This represents a visible and tangible step in bringing the COP30 Action Agenda to life and demonstrates practical examples of what can be scaled up with further collective and coordinated efforts to unlock bottlenecks and press on levers for acceleration.

Importantly, this marks a meaningful next step of an ongoing process: the Granary of Solutions is designed as a living platform that will be continuously populated in waves, with additional solutions released progressively in the lead-up to COP30. These cases and solutions banks come from contributions from initiatives convened under the 30 Activation Groups - dedicated coalitions of actors working together to achieve common and clearly defined climate objectives.

Under the guidance of the COP30 Presidency and led by the Activation Groups, each contribution undergoes a checklist of criteria - clarity of information, thematic alignment, measurable impact, and scalability potential - ensuring the platform remains a source of inspiration to accelerate global implementation.

“The COP30 Action Agenda marks a transformative new chapter for climate action,” said COP30 President Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago. “Action fosters action, and the Granary of Solutions is identifying real, replicable solutions that are already delivering impact for people and communities. By scaling these proven approaches, we can accelerate progress with the urgency required, moving decisively from pledges to practice.”

Anchored in Past Progress, Accelerating What Works

COP30’s Action Agenda is a paradigm shift from previous COPs both in form and function. The refined approach aims to build on past initiatives and proven successes - rather than creating new pledges - across the six thematic axes and 30 key objectives, all designed to fill gaps and deliver against the Global Stocktake (GST) outcomes.

The Granary of Solutions shines a spotlight on efforts already driving change, from an initiative to co-created weather information systems developed in collaboration with local communities, to maritime biofuels cutting emissions in the shipping sector to the establishment of cross-border Cap-and-Trade System for greenhouse gas emission allowances, the Granary of Solutions stands to serve as a diverse wellspring of what works.

By elevating these practices, COP30 ensures that effective models are shared and can be replicated at scale. COP30 honors the breakthroughs of the past decade while accelerating the most effective pathways to deliver climate action with speed, scale, and in a just manner.

“Far from starting from zero, the world has already built a powerful foundation of solutions to deliver the transition,” said COP30 Climate High-Level Champion Dan Ioschpe. "Our task now is to accelerate what works, provide a collaborative and supporting environment, and ensure these solutions reach the people and places where they can have the greatest impact.”

Next steps: Building Momentum to Belém

The first set of solutions is now publicly available through the Granary of Solutions platform with more solutions being published as processed. In parallel, initiatives in the Activation Groups are working together to develop Plans to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) - concise workplans summarizing key actions to unblock progress and to accelerate implementation of high-impact solutions in coordination with COP30 and the 2028 Global Stocktake deadline. This enables the Action Agenda to remain a living engine of implementation, continuously surfacing, scaling, and accelerating solutions in line with the Paris Agreement.

The COP30 Presidency encourages all sectors of society — governments, businesses, philanthropies, communities, and civil society — to contribute their solutions to the climate challenge, building momentum and catalyzing collective action on the road to Belém and beyond.

There are three ways to engage with the Granary of Solutions:

  • First, by visiting the Granary of Solutions platform to learn from a growing collection of solutions already being implemented worldwide.

  • Second, for those who are part of an initiative, the COP30 Presidency welcomes submissions to the solution banks and case studies that can contribute to the Action Agenda through the COP30 Activation Groups. If your initiative is not listed but you would like to join, please express your interest through this link.

  • Third, all stakeholders are encouraged to share their case studies and examples of impact leveraging COP30’s social media campaign on LinkedIn and Instagram, using #ActionAgendaSolutions, to contribute to accelerating sustainable solutions and helping build collective momentum on the road to Belém.
